Salut!  Check it, yo.

Nice, huh?  All I need is 10 more degrees and I’ll be happy.

I finished my C++ program.  It counts the characters in a text document and gives you the most frequently used character, and the least used character.  Very useful, huh?  It should be.  It caused me a lot of frustration.  Especially when I had and i instead of a 1.  I spent a half an hour trying to figure out why the array was going out of bounds.  That explained it.

Uhhh.  Yeah.  So I’m all done with midterms.  FOUR MORE WEEKS until school is over.  Damn that’s soon.  I can’t wait.  I wish I had some cheddar, though.  I’d like to go somewhere in the summer.  Ah well.  Maybe I’ll hitchhike.  I’m pretty big and scary-looking though.  I don’t think very many people will pick me up, although it has been known to happen.

I’ve been listening to these indie playlists that Laurie recommended.  You can get the torrents here if you’d like.  Some of the stuff is pretty good.  There’s like a thousand songs, though.  I burned four CD’s for driving around and that didn’t even get through one of the playlists.

I’m re-reading this book, "Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind" by Shunryu Suzuki.  It’s got some cool stuff in it.

Tozan, the famous Zen master, said, "The blue mountain is the father of the white cloud.  The white cloud is the son of the blue mountain.  All day long they depend on each other, without being dependent on each other.  The white cloud is always the white cloud.  The blue mountain is always the blue mountain."  This is a pure, clear interpretation of life.  There may be many things like the white cloud and blue mountain: man and woman, teacher and disciple.  They depend on each other.  But the white cloud should not be bothered by the blue mountain.  The blue mountain should not be bothered by the white cloud.  They are quite independent, but yet dependent.  This how we live, and how we practice zazen.

… So we are completely dependent and independent.  If you have this kind of experience, this kind of existence, you have absolute independence; you will not be bothered by anything.

I’m out.

Happy Family Day!

Or Happy President’s Day to your Americons.  I’m celebrating this day by sitting around doing nothing while half of my family is in a town four hours away.

It got cold again today.  All the water froze and now it’s even icier than it was yesterday.  I almost slipped on the way to the car but I managed to regain my balance.  I went to Tim Horton’s and had the freshest donut in the history of the world.  I think that it was right out of the oven.  It melted in my mouth.  Crazy stuff.

I’m ALMOST done my C++ project.  I just need to learn how to use iterators to my advantage.  It’s dumb that we have to use them at all when a regular variable would suffice just fine.

PEACE.

I slipped and fell earlier.  I was none too pleased.

PEACE.

Wait a sec. It’s not that cold, otherwise it wouldn’t be raining. But it’s still too cold for me.

Also, Aura sucks kicks mega ass.

Please stop snowing and raining ice water down upon us.  If you oblige then I promise that I won’t litter anymore.

I made this video today on the way to school.

Aura thinks that I’m ridiculous.

I tend to agree.

Also, I got 66% on my test today.  It was originally 64 but I checked after and it changed to 66, so maybe the teacher messed up a question and gave us extra marks; I don’t really know.  It’s cool though.  Still, 66 is pretty lame.  It was a fucked up test full of dumb questions.  I’m going to remember this for the next test in that class.  Study the most random shit he tells us, cause that’s what he’s going to test us on.

Okay, I’m out.  PEACE.

ROUGH

Today has been pissing me off.  I bought a memory card and case for my camera.  Here’s the case:

DSC00235

It’s uber sweet.  BUT I was in class and I put the memory card into my memory card reader.  Makes sense, right?  WRONG.  Apparently you need an adapter, which the memory card came with (I didn’t know what it was for).  So the card got stuck and I eventually jammed it in even worse.  I skipped class and came home to fish it out.  It took me an hour to do so before I finally got ‘er done.  I managed to slice my thumb open during the process which pissed me off even worse.

I want to sleep until tomorrow morning.

Speaking of mornings, it was crazy foggy this morning!

Also, I picked up my brother and took the dog for the ride.

Some fuxored weather today. Except for the actual temperature, which was pleasantly warm.

This afternoon after school:

Yeah, it was worse in the morning.

Man, 5:42 and it isn’t completely dark out. Spring is coming, dawgs.

Speaking of dawgs.

Damn blurriness. She certainly is an adorable dog isn’t she?

Who knows what’s up for tonight. Right now I’m watching Mean Streets and it’s alright. Maybe I’ll go to the casino. I haven’t lost money there in a while.

PEACE

P.S.  I have a cold and it sucks, yo.

Yet here I am.

Fux.

P.S. I slipped on ice walking to my truck in the parking lot.  It hurt.

P.P.S.  I saw my grandma in the hospital and she’s doing good.  There were no complications from the surgery or anything and she should be out by the end of the week.  Except she was really surly and I’ve never in my life seen her like that.  It was weird.  She told the nurse, “Thanks…  For nothin’!”  My brother and dad were shocked.  Rofl.  Old people.

There was still sunlight up until about fifteen minutes ago and it filled me with a sense of hope and joy.  I can already feel the days getting longer!  I can’t wait until that bitch stays out until ten at night and I can wear shorts outside while I smoke.

Today was insane weather.  I was driving home from school in mildly bad weather.  It was windy and snowing lightly when I saw this huge cloud of snow swirling in.  It was spectacular.  In fifteen seconds the weather changed from a light snow to an all encompassing blizzard.  Here was my view:

Yeah, I know that driving and taking pictures isn’t the smartest thing in the world.  But the thing you have to realise is that I’m an expert driver and an expert photo-taker so I knew that I’d be okay.

I have to make a glossary of ten words relating to RFID chips (human-implanted ones).  It’s really boring.

Now I’m off.
